Installation

Local Offline Installation (Windows)

To install this web application on your local PC, IIS & Microsoft SQL Server is mandatory.

IIS Installation

To confirm if the IIS is installed on your local PC, just visit localhost from your browser. An IIS page should be shown there. If you have already installed the IIS on your local PC, please ignore this IIS Installation procedure.

To install IIS on on your local Windows 10, follow the guidelines.

Open Start Menu
Type features in the search box, a list will appear. Choose “Turn Windows Features on or off”
A new box will pop up, choose the “Internet Information Services” box.
Wait for the installation to be completed and hit Close once done.

By now, the IIS should be installed on your local PC. Go to URL localhost to confirm if it’s working.

Microsoft SQL Server Installation

If Microsoft SQL Server is already installed on your local PC, please ignore these steps.

Download SQL Server

Visit the below link

Click on Download
Choose “ENUx64SQLEXPRADV_x64_ENU.exe” & Download.

Install SQL Server

Once the download is completed, run the exe file.
Let it extract the files and the new installation window will appear automatically.
Choose “New SQL Server stand-alone installation”
Accept the License Terms & Product Updates.
On Feature Selection page, Choose “Select All”.
On Instance Configuration page, choose Named Instance & Instance ID as “SQLEXPRESS”.
In Database Engine Configuration, under Authentication, Choose “Mixed Mode”.
Specify password for SQL Server system administrator user “sa”. Usually type 123.
Now install SQL Server. Wait for few minutes for the installation to be completed.

AutoFirst Web Application Installation

You need to import database in SQL Server before the web application installation.

Double click on “AutoFirst.sql” file located inside zip. Login to SQL Server with your credentials used to install SQL Server.
Run the AutoFirst.sql script in Microsoft SQL Server.
Once the database is imported, now it’s time for web application installation. Copy the AutoFirst folder from zip and paste it somewhere and save the location. In this case, Let’s say it’s C:AutoFirst
Open Start Menu.
Search IIS and open “Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager”.
In left tab, expand your PC. Right click on “Sites” then “Add Website”.
In Site Name, type your site name AutoFirst.
In Physical Path, choose the AutoFirst Folder physical path location. In our case, it’s C:AutoFirst
In port, define your port for accessing. Let’s say we defined 10203
Check “Start Website Immediately” & Click OK.

By now, our newly installed web application should be ready to use. Use the port you defined in step 9 above to access website. “localhost:10203″

User ID & Password: admin

Live Online Installation (Plesk)

Online Installation is pretty easy. Follow these simple steps and your new web application will be live within few minutes.

Login to Plesk (Windows Hosting)
Create new database and assign user to database and save the details.
Access your Database through MS SQL Server and run the “AutoFirst.sql” import script
Upload the contents inside AutoFirst folder to the httpdocs directory of your hosting.
Open web.config
Find connectionString
Inside the connectionString data, replace data source with your server’s data source. Replace Initial Catalog to your Database name and replace user id and password credentials for SQL Server.
Your web application is live!

Guidelines

Buyer Wizard

If a client steps in for buying a car. We have simplified this process in few steps. No need to explore panel anymore. A simple step by step wizard for Buyer.
Go to Buyer Wizard
Step 1: Enter Client Name or Number. If it is found in database, it will appear instantly and you can just select client and move to next step. If client does not exist, just click on add client button and client will be added and wizard will take you to the next step
Step 2: Select Product You wish to sell and proceed to next step
Step 3: Upload Supporting Documents (Optional & can be skipped)
Step 4: Select Transaction Type (Cash/Installment)
Step 5: Everything will be fetched automatically. Just enter how much client is paying and the transaction report will also be generated against the client.

Seller Wizard

If client steps in for selling a car, This can be done in 4 steps Seller Wizard.
Step 1: Enter Client Name or Number. If it is found in database, it will appear instantly and you can just select client and move to next step. If client does not exist, just click on add client button and client will be added and wizard will take you to the next step
Step 2: Add Product Details you’re buying from client with purchase price and estimated sell price.
Step 3: Upload Supporting Documents (Optional & can be skipped)
Step 4: Select Transaction Type (Cash/Installment)
Step 5: Everything will be fetched automatically. Just enter how much client is paying and the transaction report will also be generated against the client.

Client's Sale/Purchase History, Payment History & Installment History

Bringing the Client’s complete history in a single Page.
- Just go to App > Clients > Select any Client and click on History button.
The Client’s History will show all the transactions (sold/bought) by a specific client. Then all the installments history (if/any). And all the payment vouchers (debited/credited) against the client along with the Balance of the client that is due by client or by you.
